Andrew Beideman
Chief Strategy Officer
Andy Beideman is Chief Strategy Officer at the Pritzker Traubert Foundation, where he leads grantmaking activities to expand access to economic opportunity, with an emphasis on workforce and talent. He led the design and launch of the Chicago Talent Challenge in 2025, one of the Foundation’s largest initiatives, aimed at strengthening coordination among employers, training providers, and civic leaders to connect more residents to good jobs.
Andy joined the Foundation in 2018 as a Senior Program Officer. Since then, he has played a central role in shaping the Foundation’s strategy and growth. As Chief Strategy Officer, he works closely with the board and staff to align strategy, grantmaking, and partnerships and he has led the design and launch of major initiatives including the inaugural Chicago Prize in 2020.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Andy was a Manager at RW Ventures LLC, a national economic development firm, where he helped design and launch innovative economic development projects across regions and neighborhoods. Earlier in his career, Andy worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he provided project management, marketing, and evaluation support for large federal research and development programs. He began his career at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, supporting the management of a major environmental health research initiative.
Andy received a dual BA in International Policy and German from American University and a Master of Public Policy from the College of William and Mary. Originally from the Philadelphia area, he lives in Chicago with his wife and two children. He serves on several advisory boards and is Co-Chair of One Million Degrees, a Chicago-based national nonprofit supporting community college success.
